EEFA Guidance on COVID-19 Pandemic Response
The COVID-19 crisis is showing severe short- and long-term impacts on the well-being of under-resourced communities. This crisis is more than a health crisis – it is magnifying the disproportionate burdens of housing, energy, and poverty that marginalized communities face each day.
Energy Efficiency for All is committed to ensuring that actions to address COVID-19 reflect the specific needs of marginalized communities. In support of this commitment, EEFA has created Pandemic Response Guidance detailing several topics, including:
Ensuring access to essential energy and water services;
Preventing eviction and preserving affordable housing;
Protecting all vulnerable workers;
Expanding access to internet and phone services; and
Prioritizing remediation of unhealthy housing.
This document and other resources for formulating responses to the crisis are on EEFA’s COVID-19 resources webpage. These resources can be shared with EEFA and NEWHAB partners and others who are working towards an equitable response to COVID-19.
